Twenty years ago, Everett and Sandra Wray took a chance on a new kind of crop. They had spent years farming hay in the Columbia Basin when, during a drive together, they began talking about doing something different.
Thankful for our Public Servants and 20 Years of Business
25 years ago was a sad day. We're thankful that our country is still a wonderful place to live in and build a business in and we're thankful for our public servants that help make our country what it is and has been. This year also marks 20 years since Garden Gate Nursery shipped our first order of trees.

August, 2024 Availability and Updates from Garden Gate Nursery
Here is our latest availability for August. Hope your summer has been great! We're thankful to be through (hopefully) the worst of the summer heat and looking forward to Fall ahead of us. Things are looking pretty great at the nursery.
We are not hiring at this time.
It has come to our attention that some people are getting fake job interviews and offers seeming to come from our company. This is a fraud, and is not from us. Please do not respond to scam emails and forward the email to the appropriate authorities.
Nursery Temporarily Closed to Appointments for Summer Heat
Garden Gate Nursery will be temporarily closed for in-person appointments until the end of August. This decision has been made in response to the extreme summer heat we will be experiencing over the next few weeks.

March Update from Everett
Hello from Garden Gate, With the mild fall into early winter, we had a new experience with our trees still going out until Christmas, and even into the first week in January. However, winter arrived about January 10th in Pasco and then the dreary cold high fog would not go away as most of you experienced.

F.A.Q. About Garden Gate's Open to the Public Events
As you may or may not know, Garden Gate Nursery is a wholesale nursery, which means we primarily grow and sell trees for retail garden centers, landscapers and cities. We are not normally open to homeowners, but twice a year, we host an "Open to the Public" event, where homeowners and anyone who wants can come and pick out trees straight from the farm anytime during the event.

Winter Closing
We hope you are having a great holiday season! We wanted to let you know that Garden Gate is closed for pickup and deliveries due to winter weather. We won't be pulling orders or shipping trees until mid-January- weather permitting.

Closing Through Mid-January
Today is our last day of work at the nursery for the team. We will still be in the office and putting packages and orders together for next year, but we will not be doing anymore deliveries or pulling trees through Mid January.

We love spending time at our Oregon home, as we call it, and leaving our home open for visitors during much of the year when we’re not there. It is a pleasure to enjoy the quiet mornings and to light a fire in the fireplace.
